Recover FreeBSD root password @ 7 March 2008

If you had a Problem, about Freebsd , likes forgotten a Root password..? its easy, just reset it at single user mode..
1) Reboot your system if freebsd has turn on.
2) Wait until the Devil graphic comin, with 8 options.
3) Choose number 4, to use single user mode.
4) if the system has done loading, type “boot -s”
5) and then the “#” shell comin.. and then type “mount -u”
6) type “mount -a”
7) and then type “passwd” , to enter the root password
8) Reboot the system.









you just give your student card to supervisor of labkom.. so you can reset your password instantly..

Nice tips, its a lot easier to fix this in FreeBSD than it is in, say, Windows!

not like that pare, infiltrate the server room and reset the password..
