Compile Kernel FreeBSD dan Set Quota @ 29 January 2008

1. Compile Kernel Baru
cd /usr/src/sys/i386/conf
cp GENERIC MYKERNEL
Edit MYKERNEL tambahkan di dalam nya
“options QUOTA” ndak pake petik…
lalu jalankan perintah:
/usr/sbin/config MYKERNEL cd ../compile/MYKERNEL
(Untuk FreeBSD 5 dan sekitarnya:
cd ../../compile/MYKERNEL )
make depend
make
make install
2. Enable Quota
Edit file /etc/fstab terus liat yang ada di entrian nya, mana directory /home
/dev/ad0s1d /home ufs rw 2 2
masukkan kata userquota and groupquota seperti ini:
/dev/ad0s1d /home ufs rw,userquota,groupquota 2 2
Untuk meng-enable quota pada saat booting cukup menambahkan ini ke /etc/rc.conf:
quota_enable=”YES”
check_quotas=”YES”
Reboot system:
shutdown -r now
Setelah Reboot, Jalankan Perintah:
quotacheck -a quotaon -a
Install Quota Toolsnya dhe, bisa diambil di Freebsd.org
pkg_add -r setquota
Keterangan:
— set disk quotas buat users or groups
setquota [-u] [-f fs] [-bhval] [-bsval] [-ihval] [-isval] user …
setquota [-g] [-f fs] [-bhval] [-bsval] [-ihval] [-isval] group …
Setquota sets block and inode quotas for groups or users.
Options:
-u adalah spesifikasi untuk users.
-g adalah spesifikasi untuk groups.
-f adalah spesifikasi dai faile system yang di gunakan.
-bhval Block hard quota.
-bsval Block soft quota.
-ihval Inode hard quota.
-isval Inode soft quota.
Ukuran Blok adalah ukuran dari valX dimana X adalah {K,k} untuk kilobyte atau {M,m} untuk megabytes. Default nya adalah kilobytes.
